São Jorge island (Azores) travel guide: a guide to visit the island [with map] on your own (things to do, where to eat and sleep)…

São Jorge is an island that concentrates an imposing natural beauty in its narrow, elongated and mountainous silhouette, which looks like a dragon. It hides some of the most beautiful trails in the archipelago, incredible natural pools and is highly addictive for cheese lovers. And yet, the best of São Jorge is impossible to convey in pictures or words. In this guide, we try to reflect all that São Jorge has to offer with practical suggestions, itineraries from 2 to 7 days, where to sleep, and even where to eat so that your trip to the dragon island is as incredible as ours was.

Graciosa island (Azores): a guide to visit the island [with map] on your own (things to do, where to eat and sleep…)

Graciosa, in the Azores, small but valuable, concentrates such a natural heritage that it won, in 2007, the classification of Biosphere Reserve by Unesco. One of the jewels that contributed to this was due to having the largest volcanic dome in Europe, the “Furna do Enxofre”. In this guide we try to reflect all that Graciosa has to offer with practical proposals, itineraries of 1, 2 or 3 days, where to stay and even where to eat so that your trip around the island is as incredible as ours has been.

Canary Islands: best things to see and do and which island is best to visit

After getting to know the 8 Canary Islands and trying to soak up the culture and beauty of each island, we understood how different they are from each other and that together they form a paradise between forests, beaches, villages and panoramic views that transport us to tropical latitudes (or even to other planets like Mars).

In this guide we try to summarize all the things to see in each of the eight Canary Islands, with practical recommendations for those who are organizing the trip before arriving (which islands is best to visit, what to see in each one, what is the best time to visit, accommodations and even restaurants) and useful tips for those who are already enjoying this paradise.

La Graciosa (Canary Islands) travel guide: Best things to see and do [with map]

La Graciosa, the eighth Canary Island (barely recognized as such in 2018) despite being the smallest hides, in its 29 km2, some of the most beautiful beaches of the archipelago. Disembarking in La Graciosa is entering island mode where the days can be lived barefoot (its sandy roads, unpaved, and the absence of cars invite to such) and, above all, without haste, with the swimsuit always on and the bike ready to pedal. Of course, if you want to experience it this way, try to avoid the peak of summer because its popularity has made it saturated with visitors those days (and in the other months of the year its climate is as or more appealing). In this guide we tell you the best things to see and do in La Graciosa in one day from Lanzarote, in two days or, as we recommend, in three days (and if you can stay more days to relax, you will not regret it). Besides telling you everything you can see and do on the island, we also tell you where to rent your bike to explore it or hire a 4×4 cab, where to stay and where to eat to make the most of your trip to the island.

As we did in the other Azores Islands in our 2-month trip through the archipelago, in Terceira we rented a car and we consider it essential to do so if you want to explore the island organizing the days at your own pace and to your liking. In this guide we tell you which car rental companies exist in Terceira, what to check at the time of rental (insurance and excess), how to get the best price and how was our experience traveling by rental car on the Azorean island of Terceira.

Best things to do in Los Cabos (Baja California Sur, México): a travel guide with everything you need to know

Los Cabos is the largest tourist destination in Baja California Sur. Besides partying, especially in the well-known Cabo San Lucas, you can enjoy the quieter, more artistic and bohemian San Jose del Cabo. But what attracted us here was the possibility of seeing humpback whales jumping close, snorkeling with sea lions, getting the best panoramic view in the company of more than twenty dogs or enjoying incredible beaches. In this guide we try to reflect everything to see and do in Los Cabos with specific itineraries in 1, 2 or 3 days with practical suggestions, where to stay and even where to eat so you can make the most of your trip.
